Lush Lemony Flutter : Review

It’s my first post after the Christmas break and I hope everyone had a lovely time eating their own body weight in food and spending time with loved ones. Today I will be reviewing impulse purchase of the day, cuticle butter Lemony Flutter from Lush.

I originally had come into the store because I have a couple of dry patches of skin on my lower legs that just would not go away. I became a little frustrated at the number of lotions which contain mineral oil and in some cases palm oil, which is something I don’t want to be associated with. I figured Lush would be the ideal place since its’ products are also cruelty-free.

Whilst looking around I found this cuticle butter seeing as it said it could be used all over the body I thought this would be perfect. I was a bit hesitant as it seemed to be expensive at £6.25 for small pot which can fit in the palm of your hand, but it is definitely worth it.

Ingredients: The ingredients in this pot are one of the reasons why it’s worth the price, and why it has so many rave reviews on Makeup Alley (which, by the way is an amazing website for beauty product reviews). There is everything from avocado oil, to mango butter and lavender oil.

Application: Another reason is the longevity of this product- a little really does go a long way, because although it is a very thick cream, it almost ‘melts’ when warmed up with your fingers.  The only drawback is that it can be a bit greasy. However, this is a product which contains many oils so this is to be expected.

Verdict? 8/10 This is a fab little product which will be added to my list of permanent items in my makeup bag. Marks are only taken away because I haven’t used the butter long enough to quite see a result on my cuticles, and there are some days when there’s only so much lemon you can take! (warning- it has a super strong lemony scent) but for the most part I enjoy the scent due to being a fan of citrusy scents
